ABOUT
THE DIVISION
The
Performance & Quality Improvement (PQI) Division is designed to review
and evaluate the quality of the various services, programs and processes which
the El Paso County Department of Human Services (DHS) has to offer. PQI personnel
work to identify agency wide issues, assist with the identification of vulnerable
areas, and works with the program areas to develop and implement solutions
that improve the quality of service delivery.
ABOUT
THE PQI ICON
Scientists,
poets and sailors have long been captivated by the Chambered
Nautilus. As
the nautilus grows, it creates new, wider and larger chambers that are perfectly
proportionate. It reminds us that growth is continuous, and even as there
are profound changes around it, the nautilus thrives. The Nautilus,
therefore, symbolizes the mission of PQI - to grow intellectually, personally,
socially, and professionally.
